Baptisms, Anniversaries, and Math Fails – Summer at Camp!

New Life in Christ…

One of the greatest joys of camp ministry is watching God move in powerful and personal ways. This summer, two sisters came to camp and gave their lives to Jesus. That would have been amazing enough—but it didn’t stop there. After camp, they returned home with a desire to get baptized. That decision stirred something in their family, and a few others chose to get baptized alongside them! Our family had the privilege of witnessing their baptisms at the river in Coloma on the 4th of July with Calvary Chapel Greenwood, our co-laborers in Christ. These moments remind us why we do what we do—God is changing lives, and sometimes, entire families.

90 Years of Camp… Give or Take a Year (or a Summer)

This summer, we threw a big celebration for 90 years of camp ministry. Or was it 91? The camp started in 1934, and simple subtraction says this was the 91st year… but when you’ve spent your life measuring in “summers served,” the math gets fuzzy. (We started in 2006 and by the end of that summer had done one summer—but technically zero years—so you can see my logic!)Whether it's 90 years, 91 years, or 92 summers, one thing is clear: God has been faithful every single step of the way. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of this ongoing story of ministry and all that God is doing at Forward Bible Camp.

Have You Seen the New Sign?

If you've been to camp recently, you may have noticed something new before you even parked your car. Our entrance now features a beautiful new sign, handcrafted by Ben C. as his Eagle Scout project, with help from his family and friends. It's more than just a marker—it's a statement: “This is a place where God meets people.” We're thankful for Ben’s hard work and for everyone who helped make it a reality.

Let's Stay Connected

We’d love to keep sharing how God is working through camp and our family. We like to mix up writing letters, making videos, sharing prayer requests, and more. You can find us on Facebook at Moving Forward with the Morris Fam, or visit MorrisMissions.com. Forward Bible Camp also has a Facebook page, a website, and a growing YouTube channel—come see what’s new!

Ian Graduated!

We’re proud of Ian for graduating early from high school—thanks to Charissa’s encouragement and dual enrollment, he’s already earned 31 college units! He’ll start Jessup University this fall, and we’re praising God for His provision. Grants and supporters have covered nearly everything, with only $2,176 left for his first year. Ian plans to make the extra money with work study, but we are blown away by how God has provided this opportunity for him. We all agreed that Ian couldn't graduate with debt, and I'm glad to see God make this great school possible.

Keep Praying

Two more camps are on the horizon, and with them, more opportunities to share the good news of Jesus. Please pray that hearts would be open and lives transformed. We’re in this together—and we’re so grateful for our team of prayer warriors and ministry supporters.
