Does God Answer Extravagant Requests?

Friend and devoted prayer warrior, I am writing this with conflicting emotions, our family has seen God work in so many ways this summer, He has impacted lives and provided all we need this whole year and actually He has given us extra blessing all along the way too. I am so grateful that
🍂 Konner is about to turn 13 (Monday) and enters eighth grade at the same time,
🌞 TJ and I will have been married and serving as missionaries for 20 years this coming Wednesday (August 19th),
⛪Ian begins his internship under pastor Steve York at Pioneer Bible Church and moves back to Jessup University for his second year of Bible and theological studies,
🛞 Madi begins drivers training and her final year of high school this Monday, and
📚 Oliver starts fifth grade and Anna begins second grade on Monday.
Not to mention, our ministry at Forward Bible Camp has a full schedule of ministries and improvements planned for this Fall:
We have events for airsoft lovers, teens, young adults and a church group that will be celebrating the Jewish holiday Sukkot!
🧹 The Lord has provided above and beyond with volunteers as well as strength and energy to run the kitchen, program, and support ministries of Camp.
🤧 Our family has been battling a cold bug on and off since the 4th of July...but God has graciously allowed TJ to have the worst of it now, after some great family time and a joy filled summer Camp season have wrapped up.
So it's with mixed emotions that I write you to ask for prayer: my two sisters and their sweet families are planning to take a Christmas vacation to Disneyland and my heart wants to be there with them. (Actually, our whole family is really wanting this 🙃) I'd love to see all the cousins, enjoying this vacation together reliving memories my family made when I was young and the ones we have with our own family before Annie was even born 🥹 but this seems like a selfish and very extravagant request...
We have so many more pressing needs, like Ian's education, winter tires for vehicles and even repairs and maintenance that need doing, on top of the normal day to day expenses...I don't want to be discontent or ungrateful for all God has provided (he even gave us a van this summer, which makes Ian's internship possible) so I'm asking you as one of my closest friends and one who draws near to God often, that you could pray for our family to have that peace God gives that surpasses all understanding and that it would guard our hearts from discontentment and ungratefulness.
❣️ Pray that we will have wisdom to use what God provides in the best ways possible.
❣️ Pray that He guides us in all things, especially in this slower season to connect with more churches and individuals to grow His ministry at Forward Bible Camp - during this season we desire to connect with and encourage our existing support team and grow it too! ☺️
❣️ Pray that we focus on training up our children to know God and focus on what matters most. Homeschool brings me so much joy ☺️
❣️ Pray that we will see God's will and follow His plan for the coming camp theme...we got a few different ideas brewing ☺️
❣️ Pray that all the volunteers we need for these upcoming events at Camp will be supplied and that new individuals will join us in this wonderful work as well. ☺️
❣️ Pray that God fills our hearts with gratefulness: we have so much to be thankful for...like family that hand down couches and beds as well as other family that lend hours of their time putting the floorboards down and friends who share their tools to make our house look refreshed! ☺️
Thank you for taking the time to read and pray for our moderate to extravagant prayer requests ☺️ may God's will be done in our hearts and in our lives.
Transparently, Charissa
